The Baltimore Development Corporation is the city’s economic development arm. It works out deals with real estate developers and tries to lure businesses to the city. In August, the head of the B.D.C. , Brenda McKenzie, resigned after less than two years on the job. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake appointed Baltimore City Councilman William Cole to take over as the new President and C.E.O. of the B.D.C. He joins Sheilah in the studio.
