Broadband in Baltimore, Working With Public Defenders, and the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company

Can you remember the last time you went a day without using the Internet at some point? It’s changed how we live and work. What hasn’t changed of late is the speed of our Internet, at least in Baltimore. A group of residents in the city has started the Baltimore Broadband Campaign to try to change that. They want to bring faster, cheaper Internet access to Baltimore. Phil Spevak is an organizer with the campaign. He joins Sheilah to talk about it.

Then, Sheilah speaks with lawyer and MacArthur "Genius" grantee Jonathan Rapping about his program to train and mentor public defenders.

Plus, Tom Hall discusses the new home of the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company with Ian Gallaner and Lesley Malin.
