Several years ago, iconic filmmaker John Waters stepped out of his home in Baltimore armed with a travel bag and a cardboard sign. He spent the next week hitchhiking cross-country to his apartment in San Francisco. He's written a book about the experience, "Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America". He talks with Tom Hall about the adventure he found on the road.
The book is now out in paperback. Atomic Books in Hampden is holding a release party next Thursday at 7.
