Many Chesapeake Bay locals have felt the sting of a sea nettle at least once in their life; it’s sometimes an unfortunate consequence of the activities we enjoy on our waterways.
But believe it or not, these creatures—and other jellyfish species pulsating through the Bay—aren’t out to get us and in fact are a critical part of our Chesapeake ecosystem. National Aquarium General Curator Jack Cover has joined us today to tell us more about the jellies inhabiting the Bay.
