Over the last 10 years, there has been an explosion of interest in locally grown food throughout the city of Baltimore. Master gardeners and first-timers alike are planting gardens on rooftops, abandoned lots, patios, and decks throughout the state of Maryland. But, how much do those gardeners know about the history of their plots? Has the soil there been tested? Tom Hall talks with Brent Kim, program officer with the Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future and lead author of a paper that asks those questions.
