In 2004, Sarah Hemminger and her husband Ryan co-founded Thread, a non-profit organization that engages underperforming high school students confronting significant barriers outside of the classroom. Currently the CEO, Sarah has extensive experience in nonprofit management and expertise in the development, expansion, and replication of innovative, paradigm-shifting models of mentoring.

Sarah received her undergraduate degree, as well as her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, from the Johns Hopkins University. Prior to pursuing her PhD, she worked as an engineer for Medtronic XOMED.  She has been awarded fellowships from Ashoka, Echoing Green Foundation, Open Society Institute, and the Albert Schweitzer Fellows Program, which support social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas.

Augie Chiasera is President of the Greater Baltimore/Chesapeake regions of M&T Bank. Augie joined M&T Bank as an Executive Associate in 1993 and has performed a number of senior line and staff positions throughout the organization. Since relocating to Baltimore with M&T's acquisition of Allfirst in 2002,

Augie has lead M&T's Small Business efforts throughout Maryland/DC/Northern Virginia and managed the Middle Market/Large Corporate Banking divisions for the Baltimore region. Augie holds a BA from Boston University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Josh Fidler is a respected member of the Maryland business community. He is Co-Chairman of Chesapeake Realty Partners, a diversified real estate development business, and Founding Partner of Boulder Ventures, a venture capital fund active in the Mid-Atlantic and Colorado.

He serves on the Board of Johns Hopkins Medicine, is Vice Chair of The Baltimore Community Foundation, a Director of First Mariner Bank, the largest bank headquartered in Baltimore, and an officer of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.

Mr. Fidler has also held leadership positions in numerous other community organizations. Mr. Fidler received his law degree from New York University School of Law and his BA from Brown University.

Kurt L. Schmoke was appointed as the University of Baltimore’s eighth president as of July 7, 2014. Schmoke served as the mayor of Baltimore from 1987-1999 and was the Baltimore City State’s Attorney from 1982-1987.

Prior to joining UB, he was dean of the Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C. from 2003-2012. During his tenure as Baltimore’s mayor, Schmoke initiated a number of innovative programs in housing, education, public health and economic development.

Laura L. Gamble is a regional president of PNC Bank, Greater Maryland. In this role, she is the senior banking executive in the region accountable for the growth of PNC's core business in Greater Maryland.

Before joining PNC in April 2012, she was founding partner of Skipjack Partners LLC, a women-owned business consultancy. Prior to Skipjack Partners, Gamble spent more than 20 years in banking, the most recent as seven years as president Bank of America, Maryland.

In addition to her role as Maryland president, she led a variety of businesses within Bank of America in Commercial Banking, Treasury Management and Wealth Management.

Toby joined The Bozzuto Group in 2001, in 2007 was named Partner, and in 2013 was named President. He previously worked with J.P. Morgan Chase's Real Estate Debt Group, and was also a financial analyst with Columbia National Real Estate Finance.
