The Pennsylvania Avenue Black Arts & Entertainment District will present its culminating marquee event of the year, The Soul Soirée – A Night of Music & Poetry, on Saturday, October 25th, from 6pm to 10pm. Join us for this highly anticipated evening set to take place at Maryland’s State Theatre, Baltimore Center Stage, as a part of their Shared Space Initiative. The Soul Soirée is more than an event—it’s a testament to the power of Black creativity and cultural legacy in Baltimore. Guests can expect a night of unforgettable artistry, while also invest in the future of the Black Arts District and the communities it serves. With its blend of artistry, elegance, and purpose, The Soul Soirée will showcase how Baltimore can shine as a hub of Black cultural excellence.
All proceeds will directly support the Black Arts District’s 2026 programming, ensuring another year of transformative arts initiatives, community-centered programming, and creative economic development.
Harford County Public Library hosts “Foul Play in the Stacks” on October 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Jarrettsville Library, 3722 Norrisville Road. Participants, in grades 9-12 and adults, assume the role of a character and solve a murder by deciphering clues and examining alibis to find the true culprit. Attendees must call the Jarrettsville Library at 410-692-7887 to register in advance. The program is supported by the Jarrettsville Friends of HCPL. The Nevermore Haunt features unique creatures, characters and scenes inspired by late 19th century Baltimore.
Come face-to-face with mangled, undead factory workers, the ghosts of drowned sailors, unlicensed medical practitioners and strange, terrifying monsters inside this historic 140 year-old property in Baltimore’s Old Town.
One of Maryland’s scariest haunted houses and a Baltimore Halloween tradition since 2016, The Nevermore Haunt also features spectacular sideshow performance and an outdoor bar featuring local beers and custom cocktails.
Enjoy live jazz performed by two internationally known artists in an intimate, sacred space during this benefit to support the peace, humanitarian, and social justice work of Stony Run Friends (Quaker) Meeting. Vibraphonist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Wolf will play with the classically trained jazz pianist Helen Sung. After the performance, meet the artists at a reception with light refreshments. Suggested donation is $20 (at the door) but pay as you wish.
Dust off an ancient console, jam in your favorite cartridge, and practice your overly long attack combos as you set forth on an homage to the games you know and love. In this show, you're the player, naming the characters, their backstories, and ultimately deciding their fate on an epic journey through a fantastic land of pixels and comedy.
Garbage Quest is an original semi-improvised homage to retro video games, presented by Baltimore Rock Opera Society featuring the band Garbage Masher. BROS puts the controller in the audience's hands, guiding our plucky adventuring party through quests, romance, and against the evil forces of Monetization in this 1 hour celebration of gaming, fantasy, and electronic music.

In this captivating adaptation of Jane Austen's Persuasion by Sarah Rose Kearns, audiences are transported to a world of social intrigue, family drama, and enduring love. Anne Elliot's touching journey of resilience and second chances unfolds against the elegant and beloved backdrop of Regency-era England, laced with Austen's signature wit.
