Beyond the Obvious is an engaging and thought-provoking speaker series held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 114 N. Union Avenue in Havre de Grace, Maryland, 6:30 pm, on the second Tuesday of the month. The series is designed to explore ideas, innovations, and perspectives that often go unnoticed. This series presents leading thinkers, trailblazers, and thought leaders from a diverse array of fields to delve deeper into their subject areas.

AI, Facial Recognition and You is first in the series and will be presented by Turhan Kimbrough. Topics include a review of new technology all around us, how facial recognition and AI will improve our lives, when facial recognition becomes surveillance, and practical steps to take control of your digital face.
