Stocks in the Future (SIF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to equity in financial literacy, announces its highly anticipated signature fundraiser, the 2025 Sports Spectacular. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Guilford Hall Brewery, from 6:30 p.m - 8:30 p.m. Speakers include former Atlanta Braves player Brian Kowitz, from The Baseball Warehouse LLC, and SIF students. Guests can network with other professionals and participate in a silent auction featuring sports memorabilia and entertainment packages. Tickets are $100 each. Proceeds directly support SIF's efforts to provide financial literacy skills to middle school students in Baltimore. "At Stocks in the Future, we believe that all families should have financial literacy and wealth building skills," said Rebecca Lange-Thernes, the Executive Director of SIF. "Sports Spectacular event not only highlights our amazing students, it raises needed funding and creates awareness about the importance of investing in the next generation."For more than 20 years, SIF has partnered with Baltimore-area middle schools to teach students financial literacy skills, with a focus on wealth building through investments. Students are rewarded for good grades and attendance by earning virtual SIF dollars, which are available for students to invest in publicly traded companies, such as: Under Armour and Walt Disney Company. Students continue to build on their financial knowledge - and watch their investments grow - through the program’s duration. Tickets for the Sports Spectacular are on sale on Zeffy, offering attendees an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution while enjoying an unforgettable evening. "We invite the community to join us for this extraordinary networking opportunity and be part of a movement that is shaping the future," added Rebecca Lange-Thernes. "Together, we can empower students to reach their full potential."About SIFStocks in the Future (SIF) is a non-profit organization committed to developing highly motivated middle school students who are eager to learn and dedicated to attending class through the use of incentives coupled with a financial literacy curriculum focused on investing that reinforces Math, Language Arts and Social Studies.
