The search for a new human resources chief is underway at Under Armour Inc. as the sportswear maker looks to fill a key position in the wake of allegations about its culture. Under Armour has retained executive search firm Hanold Associates to find candidates for the position.
Hanold, headquartered outside of Chicago, has worked with some of the country's largest companies on executive recruitment, including Nike Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. Under Armour's chief human resources officer became vacant when Kerry Chandler left for the same position at Endeavor LLC, a sports and entertainment company in Los Angeles. Any C-suite position is important, but this is one those who follow Under Armour will watch closely because of the Wall Street Journal's recent report that found a male-dominated culture that made women felt like they were being demeaned.
