One of Remington's iconic neighborhood bars has closed.
The Dizz — which has served beers and pub grub on the corner of West 30th Street and Remington Avenue for more than a decade — closed on Wednesday, according to a brief message posted to Facebook and signed by owner Thomas L. Basta Jr. The post did not offer a reason for the closure. The news comes just a few months after Basta and co-owner Darlene Basta announced they were taking the bar off the market. The Dizz had been up for sale since fall 2018, with an asking price of $875,000.
