A taste of Hampden is making its way to Downtown Columbia. Two popular eateries from the North Baltimore neighborhood will open new locations in Howard County later this year, developer Howard Hughes Corp. said Tuesday. The Charmery ice cream shop will launch its new spot in the Merriweather District this summer and The Food Market, Chef Chad Gauss' creative spin on comfort food, is slated to make its Columbia debut in late 2020. The latest additions to Downtown Columbia’s growing roster of dining options build on a vision of making the suburb a “third city” between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
