One Baltimore brewery's Covid-19 pivot has been going so well that it's sparked an expansion.Checkerspot Brewing Co. added two new 30-barrel fermenters to its South Baltimore taproom earlier this month, increasing brewing capacity there by more than 60% to support growing demand for its canned beers.
Checkerspot added a canning line in May, as taprooms and dining rooms around the state remained shuttered to visitors, co-owner Judy Neff said. The new line of business has been a much-needed boost to sales during a tough time for taproom traffic.
