Up first, another in our series of weekly conversations with candidates who are on the ballot in the April 26th primary. Today, we continue our focus on the race for the United States Senate. Congressman Chris Van Hollen represents MD’s eighth congressional district. He is running in the Democratic primary to be the standard bearer in the election to replace Sen. Barbara Mikulski, who is retiring early next year. We’ll talk about the issues that will face a new Senate and a new President in 2017, and Mr. Van Hollen’s vision for Maryland and the country. Then, a recap of last night’s Super Tuesday primaries with the Washington correspondent of the Baltimore Sun. John Fritze joins Tom to consider what the election results mean for the remaining candidates as they head to the next five contests on Saturday.
