2024 Election Coverage

John Willis On Voter Behavior; Maryland's Congressional Races; Indies At The BSO

We're five weeks away from the primary election. In the last primary for Mayor, in 2011, voter turnout was among the lowest in history. Does this portend a troubling trend? Former MD Secretary of State John Willis studies elections. He joins me to discuss what factors could affect voter turnout on April 26th.

Then, a look at the races to represent Maryland in the US Congress. John Fritze of the Baltimore Sun and political scientist Todd Eberly join me with an overview of who’s running, and how the Maryland congressional delegation will change.

Plus, Nicholas Hersh, newly-promoted associate conductor with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, talks about the Pulse Concert at the Meyerhoff tomorrow night. The BSO shares the stage with Dr. Dog and the Baltimore Boom Bap Society, promising some seriously interesting musical synergy.

Host, Midday (M-F 12:00-1:00)
