Dr. Morozov serves as an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Dr. Morozov was fellowship trained in the minimally invasive gynecology and gynecologic endoscopy at Nezhat Medical Center in Atlanta, Georgia with one of the world renowned gynecologic laparoscopic surgeons and pioneers of laparoscopic surgery in this country, Dr. Ceana Nezhat.
As a certified fellow of the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and Society of Reproductive Surgeons (SRS), Dr. Morozov has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery and techniques that allow minimal post-operative pain, small and barely detectable incisions, and much shorter recovery time. His use of the latest available instruments and techniques, such as the surgical robot, allows for an unprecedented level of precision and accuracy, minimizing trauma to the tissue and shortening post-operative recovery time even further.
Dr. Morozov offers the services of the minimally invasive gynecology to his patients. Treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding and hysteroscopy (the visualization of the inside of the uterus), pelvic pain and endometriosis, fibroids and ovarian cysts are among his areas of expertise and training of particular interest.
Dr. Morozov has published scientific papers and presented on multiple national and international meetings, including the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, American Society of Reproductive Medicine, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Some of his videos and presentations are included in the audio-visual library of ACOG and received special prize recognition by the national organizations.
In July 2014, Dr. Morozov became a designee of the Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) by the AAGL and Surgical Review Corporation.
