Gospel blues legend Wendell Holmes and his apprentice, Brooks Long, share stories and songs on this special co-production of The Signal and Maryland Traditions.
More than 40 years separate these two musicians, but the generation gap disappears when they plug in their electric guitars.
Wendell Holmes has made his mark in music history with the long-running group, The Holmes Brothers. The trio has toured the world and been awarded the National Heritage Fellowship, the highest federal honor given to traditional artists. Now, at age 71, the seasoned musical veteran has found a young protégé worthy of receiving his wisdom.
