Democratic voters in Maryland are voting on their pick for U.S. Senator. They will likely be considering which candidate is better equipped to face Republican former Gov. Larry Hogan in the general election.

Hogan filed for candidacy just hours before the deadline.

“We always say when you want to have people who want to move up [in] elected office to actually accomplish things, you look at mayors and county executives, as we've been where the rubber meets the road,” said Mayor Scott.
