The Blueprint for Maryland's Future

The Blueprint for Maryland’s Future plans to increase salaries, provide rigorous training and retain diverse teachers in the education field but not everyone agrees the strategies will yield the desired outcome.

Gov. Wes Moore allocated millions to slash state government vacancies in half over the next fiscal year and set aside $500 million each for Blueprint For Maryland’s Future and transportation.

Whether known as the Blueprint for Maryland's Future or the Kirwan Commission education law, the plan is to transform education across the state and invest $3.8 billion each year across Maryland by 2032.
