John Stevenson, from Northeast Baltimore, has trouble walking but says he’d never miss Election Day. He's voting today with his friend, Aroura Martinez. Stevenson says the crowded field of candidates means people have options.";

Denise Shields went to Barclay Elementary in Central Baltimore as a child. Today she went back to the school to vote. She said the list of candidates, more than 30, was a little overwhelming but overall, it shows enthusiasm and ideas for her district.

John Lee was at a precinct in Parkton, about 8 minutes from the Pennsylvania line. He reports turnout picked up mid-morning. Unlike in Baltimore City, he didn't see any campaign signs outside the precinct...

Voters in Maryland’s 7th Congressional District are heading to the polls to cast their ballots in a primary race to determine who will carry out the rest of Congressman Elijah Cumming’s term.

WYPR reporters are at voting precincts all around the 7th District, speaking with voters about what brought them out to the polls.
