With the much-anticipated release of his new film, "Gone Girl," based on the 2012 mystery novel, the work of Oscar-winning director David Fincher ("Fight Club," "Zodiac," "The Social Network," "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," numerous music videos) is the subject of this month's Midday on Film with critics and film scholars Linda DeLibero and Christopher Llewellyn Reed. Fincher is executive director of the Netflix series, "House of Cards."
