Reuters news agency publishedits analysislast week of coastal flooding along the Eastern Seaboard.   They tracked the average number of days several East Coast cities were above flood thresholds.

At 34 days, the No. 1 vulnerable coastal city is Annapolis.

We wanted to know how the city of Annapolis prepares for floods, recovers from floods, and if Annapolis is experiencing an increase in coastal floods like so many other East Coast cities are.

Dave Mandell is the Public Information Officer for the City of Annapolis Office of Emergency Management. He joins Sheilah in the studio.

We also hear from Dr. Don Boesch, Professor of Marine Science and President of the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. He told us what conditions lead to flooding in downtown
Annapolis.
