The Monument Quilt is a collection of stories from survivors of sexual assault -- written, stitched and painted onto red fabric. The stories were collected from survivors across 22 cities.
The quilt spans two city blocks and will be on display on Saturday, April 9th --barring inclement weather-- at North Ave. sprawling between Charles and Howard Streets.
The group facilitating the project is called FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture. The organization kicked off their “Not Alone Baltimore” campaign last month.
Through events and ads printed on city buses and billboards, FORCE hopes to raise awareness about sexual assault and heighten support for sexual assault survivors.
FORCE founders Rebecca Nagle and Hannah Broncato join Tom in-studio to discuss the "Not Alone Baltimore" campaign.
