The University of Baltimore has undergone a transformation in recent years. You’ve undoubtedly noticed the shiny, new law school building south of Penn Station. But, it’s also expanded its educational focus. It was founded in 1925 as a night school for working adults to take business and law courses. But, it became a four-year university in 2007, attracting younger students. And, it now has a new president, Kurt Schmoke, to guide it into the future.
Schmoke is a former three-term mayor of Baltimore, as well as dean of the Howard University School of Law. He joins Sheilah in the studio.
